Generation Equality Scholarship

Magic City Equality has introduced the Generation Equality Scholarship to assist future/current LGBTQ+ students and promote equality and inclusion. Magic City Equality seeks to help students who have faced adversity and desire to better themselves through education.

Magic City Equality believes in the ability to succeed despite facing barriers. Through the scholarship, we seek to help students as they strive to reach their goals and to foster success in further education and advocacy. Students who have faced hardships such as physical/mental limitations, socio-economic disadvantages, ethnic, racial, and/or gender biases are encouraged to apply.

Magic City Equality will provide two $500 scholarships to assist students who are pursuing higher education. One scholarship will be awarded to a student from Ward County and another will be awarded to a student from elsewhere in North Dakota.

  • High School seniors who have been accepted to a college or university, OR current students of a college or university, including trade or professional schools.

  • The student must be a resident of North Dakota, either attending or accepted to an in-state or out-of-state college.

  • The student must earn a 3.0 GPA to qualify, verified by an unofficial, first semester transcript due to Magic City Equality by December 31, 2020.

  • Applicants must identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community.
