Magic City Equality endeavors to host several projects to help further our mission.
Minot Pride Festival
Each summer, the Minot Pride Festival is held to help gather the LGBTQ+ community. Pride Minot -- and now Magic City Equality -- have operated the Minot Pride Festival since it began in 2013.
Youth Outreach and Upreach (Y.O.U.)
Magic City Equality believes that you should celebrate who you are, what makes you unique, and why you matter. For members of our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ+) youth community, we provide a safe and supporting environment to build relationships, personal and professional skills, and the evolution of identity.
Open to the youth in Minot and the vicinity, the Youth Outreach and Upreach (YOU) program will build self-esteem and help ready you for various life stages. Magic City Equality will organize in-group activities and community events that strengthen youth and their sense of well-being and identity, as well as their involvement in their schools and communities. Magic City Equality will continue to increase our support to the community and engage the youth of Minot to be more involved with breaking down barriers that the youth today face.
This is a youth event geared toward the population (under 21) to balance things for those who are unable to attend some of the other LGBTQ+ events that take place in age-restricted locations. Parents and other family members are certainly welcome and encouraged to attend. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us by contacting a board member.
